The Benefits of Vegetarianism
Hello everybody, I hope everyone is staying healthy this July. Today, I am going to be talking about vegetarianism. People become vegetarian for moral, religious and health reasons. The health benefits to this diet are lower levels of obesity, reduced risk of heart disease, lower blood pressure, and fewer calories consumed. There are different types of vegetarian diets. However, the basis of most is avoiding meat, fish, and poultry. A lacto-vegetarian avoids those foods plus eggs and a vegan avoids all animal based products entirely.
I personally eat a vegan diet and rely on plant-based foods for my nutrients and calories. I discovered that I have more energy and can recover from workouts faster once I made this diet change.
